The Race 2 Race are offering one lucky young racing talent the chance to win a fully-funded season in the prestigious 2013 Irish Ginetta Junior Championship, worth over €20,000.
General Manager of The Race 2 Race, Barry Rabbitt said, “the Ginetta Junior championship helps to uncover raw racing talent from kids all across Ireland. We are dedicated to developing young talent and supporting drivers as they ascend the motorsport ladder, I am sure this year’s Race 2 Race entrants will continue to impress.”
The one day event will take place on January 28th 2013 at karting tracks throughout Ireland (tracks to be confirmed) using the same format as the established Race 2 Race search for an Irish Touring Car Driver, which this year was won by racing novice John Greaney who currently lies 2nd in the ITCC championship. The competition is open to anyone aged 14 to 17 years on the 1st March 2013
The car will be run by Murray Motorsport who won the championship in 2010 with Niall Murray. Niall has gone on to race with great success in the UK, most recently netting a double victory at Oulton Park.
Ginetta Junior Ireland Championship Principal Ann Stevens expressed her delight with the support from the Race 2 Race, “this is a fantastic opportunity for young drivers to enter our class. Ginetta are very good to us by giving us some fantastic prizes for our eventual champion such as a test with a British Touring Car Team, but this opportunity gives someone who may not be able to afford to compete in a full season the chance to compete at the front for just
€150!”
Entry is a one off fee of €150.00 and offered on a first come first served basis.
Entry tickets can be bought for €150 online at www.therace2race.com, alternatively you can reserve a ticket for just €30.
