Former Ginetta G50 Cup Champion Nathan Freke has today announced that he will return to the driving seat alongside Ian Stinton for four rounds of the 2014 Britcar Endurance Championship.
The pair who previously raced together for the first time at the Silverstone round of the 2013 British GT Championship in Ian’s Ginetta G55 GT3 were comfortably running inside the top five before a mechanical problem forced their retirement.
“I’m delighted to be back with Ian this year”, said a very excited Nathan Freke. He went on to add: “We got on really well last year and the team are a really good bunch of guys to be around. We were unlucky in Silverstone but Ian and I have remained in touch since then and I’m so happy that we’ve been able to put a deal together for four rounds of the Britcar Endurance Championship, which ironically starts in Silverstone this weekend!
Team owner Ian Stinton is equally delighted to be joined by Nathan in the car once again: “Its fantastic to be back out this year with Nathan. He’s local to me and a damn quick driver! Its been a really busy time at work recently which hasn’t allowed me to race as often as I would like so I’m really looking forward to getting back behind the wheel.
The 2014 Britcar Endurance Championship starts in Silverstone this weekend on Saturday 12th April with two 90-minute races.
